Summer Dance Intensive
A full week dance intensive featuring classes with Redding City Ballet artistic staff and guest teachers. Two sessions: 9am-12pm for ages 8-13 (not on pointe), and 12:30-4pm for ages 13 through adult. Tentative schedule and more information here. Registration is now open in our Parent Portal here.
Audition Information Meeting
Join us for an audition information night to learn the details of participating in Redding City Ballet’s 2024 production of The Nutcracker in addition to joining the company. Tentative rehearsal, performance and fee schedule will be provided.
Open Auditions for The Nutcracker
Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Old City Hall, 1313 Market St, Redding
Tentative Schedule:
10am – 11am Children 6-9 years old (Creative Ballet, Pre-ballet, Level I Ballet equivalent)
11am – 12pm Children 10-13 years old (Level II, III & IV Ballet equivalent)
12pm – 2:00pm Dancers 13 to adult, girls en pointe at least one year (Level IV & V Ballet equivalent)
2:00pm – 3:00pm Teen/Adult Character parts- ballroom dance experience a plus
Children must be 6 by date of auditions. Please arrive 15 minutes before the audition time to allow for parking and check-in.
Dance attire of black leotard, pink tights, pink shoes, hair in a bun for the girls. Black tights or leggings and white shirt or leotard, hair pulled back for the boys.

Masterclass with live pianist
Join Redding City Ballet for a Masterclass with Artistic Director/Ballet Mistress Ashley Ramsour with live piano accompianment by Julie Sargent.
Beginning/Intermediate class, ages 6+, 9-10am. Intermediate/Advanced class, ages 12+ 10:30am-12pm.
